Studies suggest a significant benefits can occure form holding each stretch at least 15 seconds as opposed to five seconds or not stretching at all. Twetny-four college students participated in a five-week study. Those in the five-second group performed each stretch nine times, while those in the fifteen-second group did each stretch three times.
While both groups improved their range of motion, those who held their stretches longer showed greater improvements.

Personal training

It's simple: The best exercise is the one you will do again and again. Personal training can help get you started on the right track by providing essential instruction on proper form and equipment use. It allows you the opportunity to ask questions and learn the basics in a safe setting. Personal training and consultation sessions are available by appointment. From climbing in the Cascades of Washington to the European Alps, our resident exercise physiologist and guide, Mark, can provide an adventure that is exciting, safe and challenging. Trips focus on safe glacier travel, crevasse rescue and winter camping techniques. Price of trips varies by location and number of people on the climb.
